In a recent Twitter post, Eric Barone known to many as Concerned Ape, the creator of Stardew Valley, pledged never to charge for DLC (downloadable content) for his hit game.

Barone swears on his family name that no DLC or update will cost money as long as he's alive.

Concerned Ape emphasized that he's working hard to roll out update 1.6 for consoles and mobile devices. This update came out for PC in March this year but hasn't reached other platforms yet.

The farming simulator Stardew Valley hit the market in 2016 and has grown a massive devoted following since then. From day one, all upgrades, quality enhancements, and extra content have come at no cost. Gamers haven't had to shell out more than the initial price, and it looks like Concerned Ape plans to stick to this approach going forward.

By sticking to his promise of free updates, Eric Barone keeps wowing and pleasing Stardew Valley fans, which no doubt helps keep the game popular.
