Fortnite players can now participate in an adventurous new event. Cursed Sails based on the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise.

The event recently launched and runs through Aug. 6.

Earlier this year it was already leaked that there would be a crossover with the beloved pirate series which only raised expectations. This was confirmed by a recent update that introduced several characters from Pirates of the Caribbean into the game.

During the Cursed Sails event, players can complete themed missions to unlock various cosmetic items through the Cursed Sails Pass. These missions become available on different days and players can earn Cursed Gold to progress through the various tiers of the event.

The Cursed Sails Pass is available for 1,000 V-Bucks and gives instant access to the Jack Sparrow outfit and a Lego variant. There is also a free version of the Pass with unique rewards. For more information, players can visit the official Fortnite website.
