Review: eFootball PES 2020

The referee's timepiece, the turf breaking free from the ground when a football cleat, kick or defensive move lands. The specifics of the arenas, the noise of the fans in the stands. All this has been considered by the developers at Konami.

For a long time, I opted for rival FIFA. In 2018, I changed my mind. I laced up my daring soccer boots and began to play Pro Evolution Soccer 2019 (PES).

I was blown away by the choices I had while building my team, with young players growing to make their mark among the seasoned pros.
It was a substantial package of features.

I can't say enough good things about eFootball PES 2020. Once again, it blew me away, and I was itching to get it downloaded onto my PlayStation 4.

eFootball PES 2020's attention to detail is mind-blowing. I focus on My Club where you spend most of your time building a team to take on other players worldwide. The graphics are top-notch, and the physical interactions feel true-to-life. From sliding on a rain-soaked pitch to yelling at the ref after a harmless foul, they've thought of everything.

I played soccer at a high level in the Netherlands. So I know the game well. Everything I see in eFootball PES 2020 reminds me of my own soccer days - the ball's movement, the challenge of approaching when someone tries to push you off the ball - they've thought of it all.

Do you want a soccer game with lots of options?
One so true-to-life that a player's performance drops if you move them to a new position?
Do you want a soccer game that feels real, from tackles to how the ball moves?
Want a soccer game where you can even put your own words on your team's stadium flags?

This is your game!
