Guys and gals, buckle up, because LEGO Fortnite is here and it's a blast!

Earlier this week Fortnite released not one, not two, but three new modes and the LEGO adventure is the star of the show. It's like Minecraft but with LEGO blocks and the best part is that it's completely free!

So what makes LEGO Fortnite so special? Well first of all, it is a full-fledged game set in the world of Fortnite which is already super cool. You can walk around as LEGO versions of your favorite Fortnite characters like Peely and Fishstick. And seriously it's cool to see LEGO Jonesy.

It all starts with knocking down LEGO trees and building your own LEGO fortress. It looks great especially since it uses Unreal Engine 5. It's like diving into a LEGO fantasy world and that's exactly what we want. But fair is fair, building can be a little complicated. You have to go through different stages and place pieces on a grid just like in real life but sometimes it takes forever to build something.

There are gauges for hunger and temperature what the survival part as we are used to from several survival games. You have to eat to stay healthy but sometimes it feels like you are constantly snacking in other words you have a tapeworm in your body. And when it starts raining you have to run inside or you will lose health because of the cold. Fortunately, later you can make amulets to keep you warm or cool or to get more hearts.

Another cool feature is that you can play with friends but unfortunately not on the same screen. You have to go online to play with friends which is a bit of a shame. LEGO games are usually great to play with siblings or friends on the couch so this feels a little strange. What is possible though is that you can share up to 7 keys with friends and or family that they can play without you being in the created world.

But hey there are more than enough cool things in LEGO Fortnite. For example, you can get more than 1,200 LEGO skins based on Fortnite characters. That's a lot of Lego fun! And the way LEGO characters move when you use emotes is just hilarious. It can be seen that EPIC is competing with Roblox and Minecraft. The goal EPIC has in mind is to make Fortnite a platform just like Roblox and Call of Duty.

The first steps they have taken is with the modes LEGO Fortnite, Rocket Racing and Fortnite Festival! And they succeed excellently in this especially with LEGO Fortnite.
