Padalecki became world famous at a young age thanks to his role as Dean Forester in the popular television series Gilmore Girls, in which he appeared in more than 60 episodes. The series, which won multiple Emmys, still has a large international fan base.

After his breakthrough, Padalecki quickly managed to commit to a new hit series. In 2005, he starred as Sam Winchester in the series Supernatural. Together with his brother Dean, played by Jensen Ackles, he hunted demons, ghosts and other supernatural phenomena in this longest-running North American science fiction series. The show ran for as many as fifteen seasons.

Padalecki's recent roles include the lead role in Walker, a modern reboot of the well-known 1990s series Walker, Texas Ranger, and a guest role in the drama series Fire Country.

During the three-day pop culture event in Utrecht, Padalecki will be present on Saturday, June 21 and Sunday, June 22. Visitors will have the chance to have their picture taken with him, get an autograph or meet him during an exclusive meet & greet.
